SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Prolific author Gini Graham Scott has published a personal narrative and self-help series of books:  Living in Limbo …The Beginning of the End…Stuck in the Middle…From Endings to New Beginnings - inspired by her recent experiences when the unstable economy halved her work; her credit line came to an end; she defaulted on her mortgage and almost lost her house. But she managed to sell it and move to a rental in San Francisco, where she has found new opportunities for her business, including launching a new film project inspired by the housing mess: The Suicide Party. It's about a successful businessman about to lose his house and everything he holds dear, who decides to hold a "suicide party" with the help of his friends – if he makes enough to save his house and get back on his feet, he'll live. The party sparks a media frenzy and unexpected results.

Gini's personal story is a symptom of the current economic crisis in which over twelve million middle income Americans are suffering or have lost their homes with underwater homes and mortgages they can't pay. Gini survived, she managed to successfully sell her home and has turned her life around. Her book tells her own personal narrative about experiencing the foreclosure process, along with her frustrating experiences dealing with real estate professionals, banks and bankruptcy attorneys.  It also includes tips on what others might do, based on how she overcame the crisis and became successful again.

Gini received a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California in Berkeley, a J.D. from the University of San Francisco Law School, and M.A.s in Anthropology, Mass Communications and Organizational/Consumer/Audience Behavior and Popular Culture and Lifestyles at California State University, East Bay. She is getting an additional MS in Recreation and Tourism in 2013. Gini is a prolific author of over fifty published books, a media guest (appearing on Good Morning America, Oprah, CNN, the O'Reilly Factor), a university instructor, and an award winning screenplay writer. Gini is the founder and director of Changemakers Publishing and Writing, Changemakers Productions, Songworks, and the Film and TV Connection.

Gini has become a spokesperson for what she calls "the mortgage mess". She is a member of social justice group Causa Justa, which fights against foreclosures and helps to keep people from losing their homes. Hers is a story of someone who survived the odds and built her life and business back from the ashes.
