A famous South African cartoon character, Eve, is the new cover star of this month's Playboy South Africa magazine.
The publication cheekily announces that she is officially the 'Playmaid of the Year'.
Also on the cover are Gwen Anderson and Mother Anderson, both household names in South Africa.

The publication had previously announced it would feature three female South African characters of different ages, races and ideologies on its October cover.
Rumours on social networking sites had included such names as Helen Zille, Patricia de Lille and even Winnie Mandela.
