It may have only been founded in Ghana a mere 36 years ago in 1985 but it has gone on to achieve record-breaking success in the years since and delighted its national and international fans in the process.

In fact, the club is now in partnership with 10Bet, the online sports betting and casino site, which is expanding its reach in Africa by way of sponsor and partnerships of leading football clubs on the continent. If you are a keen supporter of the club or are just looking to expand your existing knowledge of football on a global scale, continue reading to familiarise yourself with a brief history of Aduana Stars F.C.

Its early beginnings

In 1984, a group of Dormaa Ahenkro natives led by Agya Donkor registered to play a regional match under the name of Aduana Stars F.C. and, in doing so, launched the early beginnings of the team we know and love today. It encountered a number of financial problems in the intervening years; however, with the decision to appoint a new manager in the form of Dr. Nana Agyeman Badu, a High Court Judge in the neighbouring city of Tema, the club began to thrive. In the years that followed, they were eventually promoted to the Ghana Premier League in 2009 for the first time in the history of the club after Richard Addai scored a winning goal in their final fixture against Universal Stars to walk away with a 2-1 victory against their rivals at the time.

 Its explosion into the mainstream

In the 2010s, Aduana Stars F.C. climbed the ranks and exploded into the mainstream due to its record-breaking success in the Ghana Premier League. This was apparent the second Richard Addai scored his first goal during their first win in a match against Heart of Lions F.C. at the Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro. In addition, they also dominated the upcoming 2009-2010 season by concluding as the fewest scoring side in the Ghana Premier League and setting a world record in the process as the least productive champions with 19 goals scored in 30 matches. In doing so, they also encouraged a growing number of football fans to visit 10bet Africa and bet at 10bet Tanzania to support their local team and bet on their ongoing success.

 Its recent success

It may have achieved great success during the late 2000s and early 2010s but Aduana Stars F.C. are still going strong despite a number of recent distractions. It was impacted greatly by the dissolution of the Ghana Football Association in 2018, for example, and, as a result, was unable to compete in the abandoned 2018, 2019, and 2020 seasons. In the years following this abrupt cancellation, they found themselves at the top of the league and were poised to continue their winning streak with over half of the season’s matches played. In November 2020, however, the 2020-2021 season kicked off and in March 2021, former Berekum Chelsea coach, Joseph Asare Bediako, was appointed to lead the club to victory yet again. This resulted in them finishing in fourth place out of a total of 18 clubs and amassing 54 points in the process. It was also recently announced that the two-time Ghana Premier League champions have landed a partnership deal with 10bet for a period of three years with both of their sights set on expanding further into the African market.
