It is hoped now that he will pass on his experience in developing the Rolls-Royce brand in Africa especially. Briscoe replaces James Crichton who has been appointed as Regional Director of Europe.
The company enjoyed its most successful year since its inception over a century ago last year, and as is the case with so many global industries, emerging markets have been pinpointed as the reasons behind the upturn. Africa and the Middle East are proving particularly fruitful in the automotive industry of late.
Joylon Nash, Sales and Marketing Director for Rolls Royce, has expressed his delight at the appointment: "I am delighted to welcome Geoff to Rolls-Royce and to his new position heading the regional office for the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
"With his extensive experience, I am confident that he is ideally suited to further develop on the impressive results that have been achieved by James Crichton over the past two years."
